Age UK Enfield

Age UK Enfield is the leading charity for older people in the London Borough of Enfield. Established in 1985, it is a local, independent charity responsible for raising its own funds. We provide a range of services to support, advise, connect, and inspire older people and their carers.
We are based in two centres in Edmonton and Enfield and offer a range of community-based activities.

Our services include:
Care Services – includes Home from Hospital, Home based support, and Parker Centre – day opportunities for people with dementia.
Digital Inclusion – encouraging over 50’s to build confidence and skills to use digital technology
Enfield Wellbeing Network – Health & Wellbeing Workers will help you to improve health & wellbeing by setting goals, build motivation, and volunteer buddies and befrienders work alongside you
Falls Stop – One to one and group support to improve confidence and balance and prevent Falls through exercise and information/advice
Fit For Life – a range of group exercise sessions, walks and talks, cycling confidence courses and other activities
Health & Wellbeing Community Navigation – to help you manage long term conditions, access timely support, and meet others.
ICAN – Navigator’s lead peer support groups in the community for Stroke, Diabetes, Memory and Tea & Chatter to bring socially isolated people together
Information, Advice and Advocacy – help to obtain benefits, support housing enquires etc.
Later Life Planning – helping over 50’s to plan and prepare for later life with advice on Lasting Power of Attorney, Wills etc.
Memory Care – specific support to understand a diagnosis of dementia and live well and groups and dementia specific activities including Memory Meet Up, MCST, Social Singing and Carers Exercise sessions
Menopause Awareness- support and information sessions with IAPT
Men’s Sheds – A social activity group for men over 50
Online Activities – a range of Craft, Art, Music, and exercise held online
This Girl Can- A group exercise programme to help women over 50 recovering from cancer back to exercise
Veterans Group – connecting over 50’s who have served in Armed Forces
Volunteering opportunities across our range of services
