Anthro Vision is a community interest company that aims to support young people and the community through our workshops and initiatives. Our main mission is to ensure our community within the Enfield borough (particularly Edmonton) and surrounding boroughs can receive support in order to lead a positive lifestyle and manoeuvre through society without any barriers. We promote an inclusive and empowering environment to all, so our communities can thrive and embrace who they are to enable them to reach their fullest potential.
Mentoring in Schools – We offer 6-week mentoring sessions in schools to promote the positive wellbeing of young people, specifically around personal development, confidence, self-esteem and identity.
Youth Literacy Initiative – This is a summer giveaway programme which enables young people to interact and engage with reading as part of the Summer reading challenge. We actively promote authors who are from the BAME/POC community.
Amongst this we also run smaller projects when there is a need and funding available such as – our hygiene poverty family packs or Christmas initiatives.
What we offer:
People With Periods Initiative (PWP) – Wellbeing care packages with essential menstrual products, personal hygiene items and sweet treats for young people 11-25 (or vulnerable adults/ those who are in need/experiencing crisis) to combat hygiene and period poverty.
Workshops – A variety of workshops in sexual health awareness and healthy relationships, creative writing, expressive arts and mindfulness just to name a few.
BIG Programme – The big programme is a community wellbeing mentoring programme that pairs a young person with a mentor, so they have a positive role model in the community and someone they can trust as a soundboard and mentor so they can reach their aspirations. This also includes developing life skills, trips and educational visits that many of our young people are unable to access due to a variety of socio-economic reasons.
