ESCAPE Parenting Programme

6-week online programme.

10-18 years of age

As children grow up their families have to constantly change. Parents are faced with the challenge of trying to meet their children’s changing needs as they pass through the different development stages – infancy, toddler, middle years & adolescence.

This parenting programme is to help parents improve the way they communicate with your children/young people. The difficulties often arise when families move to one stage to another and many families experience difficulties when they enter adolescence.

This programme will help parents in:

    • How to manage children’s challenging behaviour (outburst of aggression/defiant behaviour, ignoring or refusing to follow instructions, refusing to eat certain foods)
    • Opportunity to learn/ share from other parents on how

    they may have dealt with difficult situation with their children

    • Understanding child development
    • Developing and setting clear boundaries for children /young people that can enhance a good parent- child relationship
    • Using appropriate parenting techniques to promote confidence
    • Building good relationships with schools
    • Preventing family conflict
    • Gaining new strategies to manage behaviour Preventing children from anti-social behaviour

Referral and Contact Process

Workshops are delivered once a week for 6 weeks.
(Microsoft Teams link will be sent via email with instructions closer to the start date).
