Chickenshed uses theatre to demonstrate the strengths of a more inclusive world –proving that everyone can succeed in a diverse society. Through performance, education and participation, we change lives for the better, allowing people’s voices to be heard and providing a supportive environment where everyone is able to fulfil their potential.
We bring together people of all ages and from all backgrounds to produce outstanding theatre that entertains, inspires, challenges and informs both audiences and participants alike.
We have a professional company, a Young Company and we run three nationally accredited education courses at BTEC, Foundation Degree and BA (Hons) Levels. We also have a growing network of ‘shed’s across the UK and internationally. This year we have worked in China, New York (USA) Finland and eventually we would love ‘inclusive’ theatre to be everywhere.
